Initially reductive notes of smoke and gunflint from this youthful bottling fade with aeration, revealing layers of pristine white peach and lime underneath. Vinified and matured entirely in stainless steel, it's a bright-fruited, refreshingly slim wine with a steely, bracing finish. At peak now-2026.

The 2020 Chablis Vosgros 1er Cru has a light, slightly peachy nose with touches of apple blossom and chalk. The palate is taut and fresh on the entry, delivering fine acidity. Though not very complex for a Premier Cru, it conveys purity and modest tension toward the finish. Probably one more for early consumption, but it is cleanly made and enjoyable.
