Department 66 Fragile Rose
|France, Languedoc-Roussillon, Maury
Pale salmon in appearance. The nose bursts with pleasing aromatics of rose hips, honeysuckle, and rhubarb compote. The opening displays a flavor spectrum of white peach, white nectarine, and wild strawberry, which then leads to a palatable mid of summer berry fruits and characteristic mineral notes. Closing with principle, the wine exhibits a lifting note of pithy, pink grapefruit and just the right amount of persuading acidity to satisfy.
