Dark ruby with slightly purplish highlights. Intense and fine. In its first youth, the nose is fresh on red fruits, notes of black fruits and liquorice. After four to five years of ageing, the cherry with brandy, strawberry jam, truffle and roasted notes are dominant in the first nose then it evolves on liquorice, undergrowth, black olive and spices. In its youth, the wine is fresh, concentrated and supple with touches of black cherries and garrigue. As it ages, the palate becomes very full with a very long finish and is supported by aromas of black cherry jam, truffles, licorice and undergrowth. To be enjoyed young with a grilled prime rib, a piglet on a spit or a terrine of game. As it ages, it adapts perfectly to a game, a beef bourguignon, a stuffed capon or even a pot-au-feu.
