Patricia Green Sauvignon Blanc

2007 Sauvignon Blanc This bottling will be what you would expect from our Sauvignon Blanc. It is high toned with lots of ripe fruit, good acidity and that distinct Sauvignon Blanc character just at the edges that makes the wine unique. The blend comes from our Estate Vineyard in Newberg, Oak Grove Vineyard in Salem, Walnut Ridge Vineyard in Monroe and Croft Vineyard outside of Salem. These wines were aged in 100% stainless steel barrels to accentuate the fruit and spice the wine naturally gives off. 2007 is a cooler vintage but fairly ideal for the Sauvignon Blanc grape. This wine possesses the tropical aspects of the grape along with bright, limey acidity and just enough texture to have richness without being out of balance. This is a terrific example of why Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect white varietal for Oregon.
